Card tricks are entertaining for some but funny card tricks are better. James Galea is a card trick comedian and the tricks he does with his cards is not only impressive but also funny. If you ever want to be tricked or just want to laugh watch this video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxaPikYJ0mE&feature=player_embedded

The dirt lot and this video look very similar. If we all had cars like this guy the dirt parking lot would be no big deal, but until then we will just have to watch this guy’s car dominate these rocks.

This video has all the qualities needed to make a funny video. Ridiculous foreign music, check. Pies in the face of unsuspecting people, check. Four-year-old temper tantrums after unexpected people get pied, check.

Alcoholic monkeys always make a good video. For some reason it’s in these monkeys’ genes to drink alcohol so they go around a tropical resort and swoop down and steal people’s drinks. The funniest part of the video is when the monkeys begin to feel the effects of the alcohol and begin to stagger around.

The Fogue are a punk band who were recently signed to Peak 58 Records. Three of the four band members attend Ponderosa: Blake Thomas on guitar/main vocals, Tim Kane on drums, Ben Welker on bass. They also have a student from Arizona Tech named Kelson Bryant who plays guitar.

Mustang Express: What kind of music does your band play?

Tim Kane & Blake Thomas: We’re a pop/punk band from P-Town.

ME: How did you guys get started?

BT: I started the band about two years ago after we won the Battle of the Bands (sponsored by Gorilla Productions) and then we lost members to college, so I regrouped, got new members, and now we’re here, playing music for some bigger and better crowds.

TK: Blake actually needed a fill-in drummer for Parker Days, and well after that, I became a permanent member.

ME: What have been some issues in the band?

BT: We all are pretty chill; we’ve never really had a problem… except for Kelson, he’s a momma’s boy.

TK: Hm….Ben has awful hygiene, that’s about it.

ME: What have been some key moments?

BT & TK: We recently played a gig called Miracle Party downtown at the Crown Plaza Event Center for over a thousand people. It was for a cancer foundation and was a great fundraiser as well.

BT: Also, recording our new cd in our underwear was pretty awesome I gotta say.

TK: For sure for sure, nothing beats that.

ME: What are your future plans, any touring? CD’s?

BT: We’ll have our first full length cd with 11 songs coming out in January under Peak 58 Records downtown.

TK: Its gonna be legit, sold nationwide in stores and everything, we’re gonna for sure meet some ladies.

BT: Oh yeah, it’ll be titled “Next to Her” after the single we’ll be releasing.

ME: Do you have any important gigs coming up?

BT: We recently had some issues with our manager screwing us over, and after firing him, we have to rebook some shows and reorganize our schedule.

TK: Currently we’re talking with The Fray to be an opening act for them, which would be sweet.

BT: We’re also currently working with Eminem’s co-producer surprisingly, so hopefully we can draw some publicity through that.

ME: What inspires you guys?

BT & TK: Blink 182, The Doors, punk rock in general, and anything that has a good beat.

Batman strikes again with the newest installment in the comic book franchise’s long list of video games now out on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC systems.

You take on the role of Batman, who now has walked himself right into a trap set by the Joker himself in the mad house known as Arkham Asylum, and you’ve become the guest of honor in this virtual house of horrors, in which you’re trying to be killed around every corner by the Joker and his baddies.

As you start the game, you become immersed immediately into the action, facing goons and boss battles galore. Progressing through the game gives you a multitude of new weapons and gadgets to stalk your foes and dispense of them how you may, whether it is by dropping from a stone gargoyle and making the overly muscular bad guys with automatic machine guns disappear without anyone knowing or a timely punch combo to the throat you just learned.

One of the great elements to this game is the Splinter Cell-like stealth aspect in which you can run, glide, and hide to live and fight another day, or as an advantage to take your enemies out one by one tactically.

With such realistic A.I (artificial intelligence in the characters) it creates a thrilling feeling as they begin to fear being picked off in the darkness.

However, no game is perfect and even this one has some downsides. The game can become glitchy at times, and have frame rate spikes, which can get trying at times. In addition, sometimes the game does not react as fast as you would hope, leading you to get pummeled by some of the Joker’s goons.

Overall though, this game was a huge improvement over the last Batman-themed video game, remember Lego Batman? It deserves a solid nine out of ten.

Imagine taking what you learn in class and actually using it in the real world. That’s what Mr. Porters graphic design class is doing this year.
Mr. Porter is taking what he knows from his own business, Eyedentity Threads, and is teaching it to students in his graphic design class to produce shirts for Ponderosa.
Mr. Porter, who is also an art experience and photography teacher, has begun showing his classes the basics of graphic design and within the semester he hopes to begin developing shirts for the school store. There will be Ponderosa themed shirts but there will also be some artistic shirts that show the numerous elements of graphic design.
‘I’m really excited,” said graphic design student Taylor Heshmati, “ to see all of our creativity and designs and what Porter teaches us ending up in the school store this year.”
“It seems today that all the companies now are just copying each other,” Mr. Porter said, “a good design would be something unique that breaks the norm.”
If you would like to get a preview of what some of these shirts might look like visit http://www.eyedentitythreads.webs.com/

Q: What type of music does your band play?
SG: Our music is mostly electric, ambient with a great melody and excellent beat.

Q: What position are you in the band and who are some other band members?
SG: I am the lead singer in the band, which is challenging because I am a newer singer still trying to find myself. There is also Robert Moffitt who plays lead guitar for the band.

Q: Who is your favorite professional artist?
SG: My favorite artist is Kaki King because she is intriguing and interesting to listen to. She is a unique person that most people don’t know of, and she has a great bass technique that wows the audience and has wonderful rhythm.
RM: My favorites artist is Joe Satriani who is a sole electric artist that inspires me to play music. I like the sound and quality of his songs that makes him good to listen to.

Q: What are the biggest obstacles you face when you’re performing?
SG: There are a lot of obstacles from setting up the speakers and other equipment, to getting ready to perform. There are always nerves at the beginning of a song and making sure you hit the right pitches. Once the song is on its way all the nerves just disappear and that allows the band to really do well.

Q: What inspires you to play music and be in a band?
SG: I really love music and it is the greatest thrill when you’re up on stage performing; there is nothing better than that. It is the best thing being out in front of your fans playing with them and creating a great concert.

Q: Where would you like your music to take you?
SG: I would really love my music to take me to being a top artist and performing in front of thousands of fans. It is my goal in life to allow my music to take me all over the world and reach out to fans everywhere.
RM: Is not sure where I want music to take me, but wherever it is that is great with me. I just love playing music and performing in front of the crowd.
